Every tool in this category advertises a time and almost none publish a distribution. Here is ours, measured from the moment the request reaches the server to the moment the finished film is saved — script, scenes, narration, captions and final assembly included — on the engines that generate every scene.

Methodology

• Data window: September 7 – October 6, 2026 (UTC), the same window as the October 2026 edition of the Kineo AI Video Index. Read from Kineo’s production database on October 8, 2026; the query is versioned with the edition.
• Customer accounts only: Kineo’s own internal and test accounts are excluded from every figure. Single clips are not Shorts and are excluded.
• Finished Shorts (length and niches): every Short delivered to a customer in the window, on any engine — stock-footage assembly and the engines that generate every scene. Sample: n ≥ 100.
• Time to a finished Short: from the first server record of the request to the finished film saved in the library, on the engines that generate every scene (Seedance, Kling, Veo, MiniMax and Omni). Kineo 1, the stock-footage engine, is excluded here because it is no longer offered to new accounts. Sample: n ≥ 100.
• Delivery rate: delivered films ÷ (delivered films + renders that failed with a recorded error), among renders that started — at least one scene reached the model, or a film was delivered. A request stopped before rendering (plan, balance or script checks) is not counted; a render with no recorded outcome is not counted as a failure, and if such renders pass 20% of the total the rate is reported as “not enough data”. Sample: n ≥ 100.
• Niches: the idea text each creator typed is matched against a keyword list per niche (English, Portuguese, Spanish and French). Each creator counts once per niche, and one Short can count in more than one niche. Niches are ranked by the share of creators; neighbors a few creators apart are effectively tied, so read the tiers before the exact positions. Tiers: most common = chosen by 10% or more of creators; common = chosen by 5% to 10% of creators; less common = chosen by under 5% of creators. Sample (creators): n ≥ 100.
• Only medians, percentiles and rates are published — no counts of videos, creators or customers. Earlier versions of this page (July–August 2026) published counts and measured only the stock-footage engine; this edition replaces them.
