Omni Flash vs Sora: what can you actually use now?
Sora 2 shut down on September 24, 2026 in the OpenAI API. This is the shutdown date for the Videos API and Sora 2 models in OpenAI’s official deprecations schedule, not a claim that the consumer app closed today.
What Kineo offers instead
Reference: a 60-second film. Available engines assemble scenes with narration, captions and music. A paid plan and enough credits are required; output depends on the script and settings.
| Engine | Current status | Credits / film | USD credit-equivalent* |
|---|---|---|---|
| Seedance 1.5 | Available in Studio | 35 | US$6.41 |
| Kling 3 | Available in Studio | 150 | US$27.45 |
| Veo 3.1 | Available in Studio | 100 | US$18.30 |
| Omni Flash | Paused — unavailable | — | Not for sale while paused |
*Allocation of the Studio monthly plan ($54.90, 300 credits): plan USD price ÷ plan credits × film credits. Not a standalone film purchase, provider API rate, or promise of unused-credit refunds. Duration and engine change credit usage. Check Studio before generating.

A finished video, not just a replacement API
Kineo Studio combines script, scenes, narration, captions and music. Review your text and settings before generating. It does not migrate a Sora project or guarantee the same result from another model.
The no-card trial has 10 credits — enough for one free 15-second film (Seedance 1.5). It is not free access to every generative engine; longer Seedance films, Kling and Veo require a paid plan and sufficient credits.
